The Richardson Eating Disorder Intensive Day Service is a specialist service based at Benfield House, Walkergate Park Hospital, which provides comprehensive assessment and treatment for eating disorders. The service is for men and women aged 18 and over living in the northern and southern part of the North East of England.
These guidelines are designed to give more information on what is encouraged during a stay on ward 31A, in order for the individual to meet the nutritional requirements and be able to manage eating in a more normal way.

This leaflet provides information for the Richardson Eating Disorder Service (REDS) Ward 31A which is a specialist service which provides comprehensive assessment and treatment for eating disorders. It is for men and women aged 18 and over living in the northern part of the North East and Cumbria.
Riding is a specialist adolescent mental health unit based in Prudhoe, Northumberland. Riding has 10 beds, providing comprehensive assessment and treatment for young people between the ages of 13 and 18 with mental health and/or learning disability needs.
Roker Ward is an inpatient unit, which treats males with organic mental health conditions. The ward is based at Monkwearmouth Hospital, Sunderland.
Rose Lodge is part of Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust. It is a treatment and an assessment unit in Hebburn. The unit is for men and women with a learning disability who have mental health problems or challenging behaviour.
