Needle Exchange

We provide an extensive range of equipment in our needle exchange at 2 Sexton Road, Blyth, and give advice on which equipment is to be used for different injecting sites. Harm Reduction is given around safer injecting and wound care as well as advising clients what we offer as a partnership to begin their path to recovery. We also provide full Blood Borne Virus testing for Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C and HIV and this is done via a dried blood spot finger test. Advice is given to each individual client around this and they are supported by our service through treatment from beginning to end.

Needle exchange provision is also available via a number of community pharmacies in Northumberland as follows;
