Albert Kennedy Trust
Supports lgbtq+ young people aged 16-25 in the UK who are facing or experiencing homelessness or living in a hostile environment. Support young people into safe homes and employment, education or training, in a welcoming and open environment that celebrates lgbtq+ identities.

Barnados
Supports individuals and groups, for example young people identifying as LGBTQ, in personal development and developing the skills to make positive life choices.
Also runs an online support group for trans parents and carers in the North. Held on the last Tuesday of the month 6pm-7.30pm via Zoom. Contact [email protected] for more information.

Be Trans Support and Community
Drop-in support group every Tuesday, 6-8pm – The Recovery College,1 Carliol Square, Newcastle upon Tyne
Every Tuesday, runs a user-led peer support group to meet others and make friends. A space to ask questions and/or seek support. Also provides 1:1 support sessions. Be is run by trans people for trans people. For the drop in session, there is no paperwork to sign/fill in, and people can attend for as little or as long as is comfortable. They can also bring a friend/family member along if this would ease anxieties.

Hart Gables
LGBTQ+ Support Group in Middlesborough every Wednesday 1pm to 3pm. Ages 18+.
LGBTQ+ Youth Group in Hartlepool every Friday 5.30pm to 7.30pm. Ages up to 19.
Provides support, advice and guidance to the LGBT community in the Tees Valley area. Offers one-to-one and group support, facilitates the LGBT Tees Valley Forum and provides training and advice to public, private and voluntary sector organisations.

Humankind
Offers young people friendly practical support around sexuality and/or gender. Can help with one to one sessions, sexual health guidance, support to access clinical gender identity services, the opportunity to meet other young people to share experiences, support for family either one to one or together, hate crime reporting, fun activities and sessions such as sailing, meals, climbing, etc. in a safe space.

The LGBT Federation
The LGBT Federation is a regional infrastructure organisation working to unite LGBT individuals, groups, organisations and communities across the North East of England. Undertakes research and develops self-sustaining activities which aim to change attitudes and behaviour towards LGBT people. Share LGBT news, events and information with membership and affiliated groups. Works with service providers and policy makers to ensure that services are both LGBT friendly and knowledgeable of the issues affecting the LGBT community.

Mindline Trans+
A UK wide services offering a confidential emotional, mental health support helpline for people who identify as Trans, Agender, Gender Fluid or Non-binary. Plus support to family members and friends, to provide signposting to other services and resources.
