Meet Cheryl, a Deaf Clinical Support Assistant who has won a health hero award

Staff are celebrating after receiving an Investor in Apprenticeship Award from the North East Apprenticeship Ambassador Network.

Two nursing students working with Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust have been awarded for their efforts while undertaking their degree programmes.

A North East NHS centre designed specifically to support adults with autism has been praised by European experts for its “clever” and “innovative” design.
