PIONEER-MH: Police involvement in interagency crisis mental health first response pathways in England: A realist and cost consequence analysis

PIONEER MH is funded by the National Institute of Health and Care Research (NIHR). The views are those of the author(s) and not necessarily those of the NIHR or the Department of Health and Social Care.

What are we doing?

We’re looking at how police, ambulance, and mental health workers work together when someone has a mental health emergency.

Why are we doing it?

The police have changed their responses when someone has a mental health emergency: we want to see how it is affecting everyone.

Who is in the study?

We’re inviting lots of people to tell us about what has happened to them. We want to hear from people who have been in crisis, their loved ones, mental health staff, paramedics, and people working in emergency departments.
