North East Drive Mobility provides specialist advice on child car seating for children with medical conditions that affect their safety when travelling.

Before your appointment, we’ll arrange a triage phone call to understand your child’s physical and sensory needs and ensure the best possible support.

We offer two dedicated clinics:

Postural seating clinic

The clinic is for children who need extra support to get in and out of the car and maintain an upright position while travelling (due to reduced muscle tone for example). These sessions may include a joint assessment with a specialist seating company to allows us to assess your child in appropriate equipment on the day.

Child car safety clinic

The clinic is for children who find it difficult to stay seated during a car journey using a standard seat belt or car seat harness. This may be due to sensory needs or feeling overwhelmed in the car. We work to find solutions that make journeys safer and more comfortable.
