How do I get help from Talking Therapies?

There are three ways to contact us for help. You can do whichever works best for you.

Ask your GP if they think Talking Therapies is right for you

If your GP agrees, they can send us some information about you. They will tell us about what they think we can help you with, and how.

Refer yourself online

Click here to fill out our online referral form.

This should not take long to complete. Unfortunately, you can’t save it and come back. So, make sure you give yourself enough time to fill it out.

The form is secure. The information you share is kept strictly confidential.

It asks about the problems you are having, and what you would like to change. We ask these questions to see if our service is likely to be right for you.

If you want to, you can ask a friend or family member to help you fill out the form.

Refer yourself using a paper form

If you prefer, you can use a paper form. We can send you a form in the post. Call us on 0300 123 9122 between 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday. We’ll ask for your address, and then send you the form.

Or, you can download a copy of the form. Print this out and fill it in. Then, send it back to:
North Cumbia Talking Therapies
Elmwood
2a Tynefield Drive
Penrith
CA11 8JA

Or send it back in an email to [email protected]

If you want to, you can ask a friend or family member to help you fill out the form.

What next?

After a referral is made, you’ll need to contact us to arrange your assessment.

Once you’ve been referred by your GP, or referred yourself, please wait three working days so we can process the form.

Then, call us on 0300 123 9122 between 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday to book a phone assessment. (Find out more about assessments.)

You can get someone to help you with calling us. Just make sure you’re with them when they call.

We need you to contact us within seven days of being referred. If we don’t hear from you, we cannot go forward with offering you an assessment.
