Our Services
Books and Journals
Our libraries hold a combined collection of thousands of books and print copies of journals. Subjects include mental health, learning disabilities and neuro-disabilities. We also cover topics to help support professional development and practice. You can borrow up to ten items at any one time. Book details are on a regional catalogue which includes collections from other NHS libraries in the North East.
Open Athens
An NHS OpenAthens account is your key to accessing our online resources. Staff can register for an NHS OpenAthens account using their work email address.
Inter Library Loans
If you can’t find a book or journal article in the library or online we can usually source it from another library. Staff can request this on the library intranet page.
Literature Searches
If you are struggling to carry out a literature search library staff can help with this. Request a search via the intranet.
Information Skills Training
Library staff provide training about using library resources, literature searching and electronic resources. Sessions are available for individuals or small groups. Contact us via email to arrange a session.
