Akenside is an inpatient unit based at the Campus for Ageing and Vitality in Newcastle upon Tyne. Akenside has 10 beds providing assessment and treatment by a multi disciplinary health and social care team. They will support you with a range of different treatments and therapies. Akenside is for older people with mental health problems arising from functional disorders such as depression, anxiety or psychosis.
