Updates to visiting guidance in light of COVID-19

Posted: 29/03/20

Please note that we have updated our visiting guidance as of 26th May 2020; see below for the latest guidance.

As the situation with COVID-19 continues to develop rapidly, we need to take all necessary precautions to protect our patients and staff.

As a specialist mental health Trust, we have staff who are qualified to support patients with dementia, learning disabilities and mental health issues during this difficult time, which has allowed us to implement local policies to support the national guidance on social distancing and staying at home and keep our patients, their loved ones and our staff safe.

We are aware of the continually changing guidance and we would always advise families and carers of our patients to get in touch with the relevant ward or department manager to discuss individual circumstances, to explore how we can provide personalised care and treatment.

Our staff will support patients to use technology to communicate with their families, carers and friends during this difficult time.

Your support is appreciated.  We apologise for any inconvenience, however the safety and wellbeing of our patients is our priority.
