Community Mental Health Teams – Waiting times
Information for patients and referrers on the waiting times standard.
In February 2022 the clinically led review of mental health standards was published. The review outlined new waiting time standards for mental health, crisis and liaison services, adult and older adult community mental health services and children and young people’s community mental health services.
The review was led by service users, carers and NHS staff who were asked to suggest suitable and appropriate waiting times for treatment for mental health services. These are for all mental health providers, so that anyone accessing mental health services across the country should expect the same waiting time standard.
