The Psychiatric Liaison Team provides assessment of mental health, and treatment of any mental health difficulties, to people under the care of a general hospital. We are employed by the mental health trust and work very closely with the general hospital.
When the general hospital make a referral to us, you will then be assessed by the most appropriate member/s of the team depending on your needs.
We are a 24 hour service based at Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital (NSECH), and cover all Northumbria Healthcare sites.
