Snowflakes fall at a local hospital

Posted: 03/01/18

Glitter, tinsel and sparkly paper shine brightly at a local hospital.

Service users on some of the inpatient wards at St Nicholas Hospital which is part of Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust entered into a snowflake competition as part of their art therapy.

Supported by staff, they created decorative snowflakes which were hung from the ceiling in the hospital shop for everyone to admire.

Tony Wealleans, Catering Manager had the unenviable task of judging the amazing entries.

The standard of entries was extremely high; it’s been a joy seeing them brighten up our shop.

I would like to say a big thank you to Asda who kindly donated some of the prizes.

The winning entry came from a service user on Cuthbert Ward, Bamburgh Clinic. All the entries received a prize in recognition of their fantastic efforts.
