Medical Development CPD events

CNTW’s Medical Development Team are running three CPD (Continuing Professional Development) events over the year.

  • Gambling prevention and mental health
  • Physical health in psychiatry
  • Update on mental health services for primary care practitioners (this event is for primary care practitioners and GPs)

Gambling prevention and mental health CPD event

Date: Friday 20 June

Time: 1 – 5pm

Location: Jubilee Theatre, St Nicholas Hospital, Jubilee Road, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE3 3XT

The event will feature speakers from gambling support charity NECA.

Physical health in psychiatry CPD event

Date: Friday 5 September

Time: 9am – 4.30pm

Location: Crowne Plaza Hotel, Hawthorne Square, Forth Street, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 3SA

  • Cardiovascular to include ECG in adolescents with eating disorders
  • Eating disorders – medical emergencies
