On Thursday 23rd March, the CNTW Charity team were honoured to hold a special ceremony unveiling a memorial bench in tribute to Clifford Knaggs, the brother of Arthur Knaggs, who left a generous legacy donation to our charity.
Set within the Peace Garden at St Nicholas Hospital, beneath a blossom tree in full bloom with sunlight filtering through the branches, the ceremony was a beautiful reflection of remembrance, life, and legacy. The charity team were joined by friends of Mr Knaggs, Chief Executive James Duncan, Executive Director of Finance Lis Dunning, Director of Communications and Corporate Affairs Debbie Henderson, and Head of Chaplaincy Neil Cockling, to honour his life and the difference he made.
Mr Knaggs dedicated his life to caring for others, both in his role in the Ophthalmology department at the RVI and as a carer for his brother Clifford, who lived with a disability. Through his generous donation, he has created a lasting impact that will continue to support our work and the communities we serve for years to come.
The bench stands not only as a place of reflection, but also as a symbol of kindness, compassion, and enduring generosity.
We would like to thank CNTW Woodwork Team at Northgate for kindly building the memorial bench.
