We have a pay and display car park at Monkwearmouth Hospital that can be used by patients, visitors and staff.
Parking charges
Car parking charges are from 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday. Please find details of these charges below:
0 – 60 minutes: £1.00
1 – 2 hours: £1.50
2 – 3 hours: £2.00
3 – 4 hours: £2.50
4+ hours: £8.00
Car parking is free outside working hours or weekends, and so will not be subject to the charges. Anyone wanting to visit a patient during working hours and stay longer than 3 – 4 hours will not have to pay the full £8 rate. Their charge will be capped at £2.50 if they ask a member of staff to contact the car parking management team and confirm they are visiting patients.
There are many residential streets around Monkwearmouth Hospital, and we would ask visitors to be considerate to our neighbours if looking to park nearby.
