Dr Syed Abdullah

I completed my basic medical education from King Edward Medical University in Pakistan. I undertook my entire psychiatry training- both core and higher- from the North East of England deanery, and attained my membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych) in 2018.

I completed my higher training in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry and received my CCT (Certificate of Completion of Training) in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry in 2022. In July 2023, I successfully completed the postgraduate certificate in medical education.

Since August 2022, I have been working as a Consultant Psychiatrist in child and adolescent mental health services as part of two teams: universal crisis team for under 18s and the community CYPS mental health team. Furthermore, I have also been involved in teaching of medical students for Sunderland University as a Block Lead.

I have been involved in local and national projects with regards to audits, quality improvement projects, and have had my research published, too.
