I trained in Newcastle and have worked in Psychiatry since 1996.

I’ve worked all over the North East and am now based in Sunderland, covering the Sunderland, Washington and Houghton Le Spring areas. I also worked in Drug and Alcohol Services in Auckland, New Zealand for a year.

I am a member of the North of England Approvals Panel, scrutinizing applications from health workers to be registered for Mental Health Act and Approved Clinician work in the region.

I work with Health Education England (North East) as the Foundation Programme Director for Psychiatry.
