Dr Stuart Watson

I qualified in Newcastle in 1992 and other than a brief sojourn into A&E and neurology, I have worked in the North East across clinical and academic psychiatry since.

Reveal my interest in understanding the role of early adversity and the stress hormone system in determining the biological underpinning of mood disorders, in part, so that new treatments can be developed.

I work in ECT and on the inpatient units and have an interest in using the e-pathway system to improve our management of bipolar disorder.
