I qualified as a doctor in 2005 and have worked in the North West of England and later in South Yorkshire. I have been working as a Consultant in Old Age Psychiatry since 2013. I work in the Community Treatment Team for Older People which helps diagnose and treat older people who are experiencing difficulty with their mental health (such as dementia, depression and anxiety). I also have a special interest in young-onset dementia and work in a team that helps care for people who have been diagnosed with some forms of dementia under the age of 65. @drstuartmckirdy I trained, firstly, at The University of St Andrews and then The University of Manchester.
