Dr Roger Cable

I completed my primary Medical degree in South Africa in 1997 which was a rich and rewarding experience, moving to the UK in the year 2000. I completed my psychiatry training in Lanarkshire, Scotland and my higher training in the west of Scotland training scheme. Since becoming a consultant I worked mainly in Scotland. Currently I am working in north Cumbria as an old age psychiatrist and I split my clinical time between the Oakwood unit which is an older adult functional inpatient unit and the Penrith and Carlisle community teams.

I also have a strong an interest in medical education and am joint post graduate tutor in Cumbria, also an appraiser and I am the associate director for international training Fellows in Cumbria.
