I qualified in August 1992 and completed my psychiatric training in the North East. I am currently a Consultant Psychiatrist for Children and Young People with Developmental Disabilities, Associate Medical Director for Specialist Services for Children and Young People and Named Doctor for Safeguarding Children at Northumberland Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust. I work at Ferndene an Inpatient Service for Young People who present with complex mental health difficulties.
