Dr Jeremy de Bono

I was born in Malta where I also achieved my medical qualification. After my foundation training, I pursued further training in Psychiatry in Malta for 3 years.

I moved to the UK in 2007 to pursue completion of my specialization. I started with a few rotations of core training, following which I spent 3 years working as a Specialty Doctor in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. After I passed my examinations and became a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists I entered the final phase of my training.

Since I completed my training I have worked as a Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist in Northumberland CYPS supporting the whole region. I am part of the Neurodevelopmental Pathway and undertake diagnostic and intervention roles across the country. My areas of interest and experience lie mostly with neurodevelopmental disorders, as well as trauma and post – traumatic sequelae in young people.
