I originally trained to be a Surgeon and switched to Psychiatry in 1999.

I have a strong interest in Medical Education and Health Informatics. I am currently developing a comprehensive electronic records system for Psychiatric Services to help improve productivity and the quality of psychiatric assessments. An earlier version of the software I am developing won a Bright Ideas in Health NHS Innovations North Award 2011.
