1. Consultant psychiatrist- South of Tyne Memory Protection Service (MPS), a diagnostic & treatment service for people with dementia.
2. Consultant psychiatrist- NTW Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) Service.
3. GP & Higher Psychiatric trainer.
4. Consultant appraiser.

1. Member of Royal College of Psychiatrists ECT Accreditation Service (ECTAS) accreditation committee.

2013-2018: Co applicant- Supporting Excellence in End of life care for Dementia (SEED). NIHR funded, 5 year research programme to improve end of life care for people with dementia. SEED

2008-2013: Honorary Clinical Lecturer, University of Newcastle upon Tyne
1999-2006: Consultant in old age psychiatry, Oxfordshire Mental Healthcare Trust.

Previous experience

I have gained extensive experience as a consultant in specialist older peoples’ community mental health teams & inpatient services. I have worked as an Approved Clinician on in-patient units for people with functional and organic illnesses & challenging behaviour.
