Since then I have worked in Eating Disorder Services across the North East, in both In-patient and community settings. My current role is to provide specialist assessment and management of adults with severe eating disorders. This involves running a 5 bedded in –patient unit, providing support and advice to medical wards and community teams. I am also involved in training junior doctors and medical students and developing pathways and protocols for eating disorders across the region. In addition to my local role, I am also a Representative on the Royal College of Psychiatrists Eating Disorder Faculty Committee, and involved in advising on national policy. I deliver teaching and training on Eating Disorders to various professional groups both locally and nationally.
