Rose Lodge is a learning disability specialist assessment and treatment inpatient unit based in Hebburn, South Tyneside. Rose Lodge has 10 beds providing acute assessment and treatment by a multi-disciplinary team. All of the learning disability specialist assessment and treatment wards offer a multi-disciplinary approach (based on Bio-Psycho-Social Mode of Care) to care for adults aged 18 and over with learning disabilities and mental health problems or severely challenging behaviour.
Rose Lodge is for men and women aged 18 and over with a learning disability and mental health problems or severely challenging behaviour, who would benefit from admission to a specialist learning disability facility as opposed to a ‘mainstream mental health hospital’.
You can be referred by your GP, Care Co-ordinator, Specialist Mental Health Team or Specialist Learning Disability Team. Admission will usually be through a Mental Health Act Assessment.
