The Offender Personality Disorder Pathway Service is a collaboration between the NHS and HM Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS). The team has a number of health and specialist probation practitioners who work in partnership, offering consultation and training to HMPPS staff (through our Psychologically Informed Consultation Service – PICS), and direct intervention to a small number of People on Probation (via our Rebuilding Lives Intensive Interventions and Risk management Service – IIRMS).
Our commissioning arrangements mean that the intervention service can only be accessed by people under Probation supervision, who are assessed as High or Very High Risk of harm to others, with their risks and needs linked primarily to personality difficulties. Where there are other health issues the individual may need to access other services to manage these. More information can be found in our service leaflet.
How to get referred
Referrals to the service can be made by the individual’s supervising Probation Practitioner who must remain involved for the duration of our input.
