Day Services – Sports Department (Northgate Hospital)

The Sports Department is a department with Day Services based at Northgate Hospital, Morpeth. Service users are given the opportunity to health and fitness related activities such as active sports or gym based exercise.

Any service user at Northgate Hospital can attend the Sport Department.

Activities on offer:

  • Football
  • Cricket
  • Golf
  • Rounders
  • Rugby

The Sports Department has a fully equipped gym including rowing machines which can be linked together via a computer so you can race against other people.

On a Tuesday and Wednesday evenings the Sports Department is open selling tea, coffee and a small selection of treats and snacks. There are pool and snooker tables, table tennis and a dart board available to use.
