Dr Rajesh Nadkarni

I have practiced as a Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist for the past 15 years. I have a wide range of experience and expertise in working with patients in medium and low security, community and the prison service. Over the past few years, I have led the development of the Policy Custody and Court Liaison and Diversion Services.

Clinically, I am involved in the Newcastle Mental Health Crown Court Service providing advice to judges, solicitors, barristers and others to assist in the management of cases involving mentally disordered offenders. I am also considered as an expert in the field of Stalking Behavior having contributed to publications, national policy initiatives and consultations.

I hold corporate responsibility regarding risk assessments and management and as the lead Director for the Mental Health Act.
