Dr Nicola Mitcheson

I am the Lead consultant in the Forensic Community Mental Health Team. The FCMHT provides advice to other mental health teams about mentally ill patients, who have been assessed as posing a significant risk to others or who are thought to do so and require further assessment. We also provide care to patients who continue to require specialist risk assessment and management (predominantly who have been discharged into the community via secure wards).

I bring the experience of having worked in a variety of different forensic settings during my career, including for a number of years as a consultant on a medium secure rehabilitation ward at St Nicholas Hospital.
