Dr Andrew Lawrie

I have been a Consultant Psychiatrist (Working Age Adult) based in Sunderland since 1998, initially (as a ‘sector’ based) covering Inpatient and Community through since 2010 as a Community Psychiatrist in the non-psychosis and psychosis pathways. I have been based in the Sunderland North Community Treatment Team since its establishment in June 2014, the first ‘Principal Community Pathway’ team to ‘go live’.

I have been a Medical Manager since July 2011 and am currently Associate Medical Director for Community Services in the South Locality (Sunderland and South Tyneside). I am interested in service transformation and have been involved in and led a number of Trust wide transformation initiatives. I was a member of the design team for the Trust wide Principal Community Pathway (PCP) work. I am a Lean Leader and have led a number of ‘RPIWs’.

I am Deputy Programme Director for the Northern Higher Training Scheme.
