Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADD / ADHD)
ADHD is a condition in which children find it very difficult to focus their attention or control their behaviour. They often act on impulse without thinking. All children behave in this way sometimes but with ADHD this behaviour is persistent, happens in every setting the child is in.
There may be other reasons a child acts in this way. The child may be anxious or there may be problems at home or school. ADHD is a distinct condition, part of the make up of the child.
