Terms of Authorisation

Monitor, the Independent Regulator of NHS Foundation Trusts, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 35 of the National Health Service 2006 and all other powers exercisable by Monitor, authorised Northumberland Tyne and Wear NHS Trust to become an NHS Foundation Trust, subject to the Conditions set out in the authorisation document with effect from 1 December 2009.
